Momma
I remember your first Easter...I let you color eggs with your sisters. You sat on the table in your blue chair and DROPPED the eggs in the color. It was the greatest time and you had so much fun. I will never forget!

I remember very vividly when Kayla played 'Mushu' in the play 'Mulan' at Ada Junior High School. It was January 26, 2008. She had strep throat. She was moving to her Dad's that weekend and I had already checked her out of school. This play was the last thing she did before leaving. I bought her a bouquet of red roses. At the end of the play when they introduced Kayla and she took off her mask, and the crowd roared, I threw the roses up on the stage to her and SHE CAUGHT THEM. I was the proudest parent there that night. You know, the mask Kayla wore will never be worn again. Faculty of the Junior High is having a shadow box made and the mask will be placed there with a plaque in Kayla's memory. I will always keep the costume Kayla made for that play and the memories close to my heart.

I remember when it was just me and Kayla, the summer of 2006, when we worked so hard to make this house a home. Kayla never complained, just pitched right in. I miss those days. We didn't have much and Kayla never asked for more...
